Next ten movies.
(11) Disney Movie- One Hundred and One Dalmatians. (1961) This was a cute movie. It always has me wondering if Dog’s really communicate like that. The dogs are extremely smart. Cruella De Vil was a very unique villain. Horace and Jasper are hilarious but Jasper is way too mean to Horace. But I guess that comes with the territory of being a villain. I loved the Cat, Sergeant Tibbs. He saved all those puppies. He does not get enough credit.
(12) Disney Movie- The Parent Trap. (1961) I loved this one. The mom was very pretty. The love story with the Mom and Dad is much better than the remake. Still a bad thing to separate siblings like that and not knowing they had a twin or where their other parent was. But over all this is a good movie. Good ending. Really cool how they used one actress to play the twins even way back then.
(13) Disney Movie- The Incredible Journey. (1963) These movies of the original and the sequel are just too sad, don’t want to touch that.
(14) Disney Movie- Mary Poppins. (1964) This is one of my all time favorites. It is my oldest sisters favorite movie. She and I always sing the songs together. My favorites are Go Fly a Kite, Considering I have a tattoo of a replica of the kite from the movie and the title of the song on me forever. My second favorite is Feed the Birds. When my oldest Sister moved to Europe when I was starting Middle school, I took it really hard. She used to sing me to sleep when I had bad nights and it was something special between us. She made me a CD of her singing a few songs and Feed the Birds was the first song on the CD. Unfortunately that CD has broken as it has been many years since then. But still love the song, and my third favorite is Supercalafragilisticexpialadocous, I love the song and the word. It’s fun asking smart devices how to spell this word. I love Julie Andrews, the actress who played Mary Poppins, and she had the perfect dynamic with Dick Van Dyke and all of her other costars. The umbrella is a hoot, and I really want a carpet bag like Mary Poppins, I mean how cool would it be to have a bag like that.
(15) Disney Movie- The Jungle Book. (1967) This is a really good movie, in my opinion of course. Keeping in mind that its a fantasy, because in reality, Wolves would not raise a human baby, a bear and a black panther would not risk their lives to save a human child, and Mowgli probably would not have survived the accident that he and his parents were in. But knowing it is a fantasy and a kids movie it is really cute and Baloo the Bear and Bagherra the black panther had an amazing Dynamic and were so funny. Also, The Bare Necessities will always be a great song. It was the theme song of my fifth grade class.
(16) Disney Movie- The Aristocats. (1970) So I’ve seen this movie about a million times. I love all the music, the kittens are a really cute sibling trio and behave like typical siblings for that age, and lets us all agree that Thomas O’Malley was a great cat/character. If a real man exists that is like Thomas O’Malley, that is my dream man. I mean, mostly. Yes, Thomas starts out as a player, but he turns out to be a really great love interest for Duchess and dad figure to the kittens Marie, Berlioz, and Toulouse. (How great are those kittens names, I love them) He saves Marie, so many times, he finds them food, takes them all home after they are kidnapped and abandoned by the stupid Butler Edgar. But the scene where O’Malley pours his heart out to Duchess saying he wants to be a father to her kids, she stays loyal to her owner and say they need to go home. But it still has a good ending. Fun Facts: Duchess’s voice actor voices Miss Bianca in the Rescuers series. Thomas O’Malley’s voice actor is Baloo from the Jungle Book as well. Then finally Madame the owner of Duchess and the kittens (And Thomas at the end as she adopts him) her voice actor is the live action actor of Ellen the Domestic from Mary Poppins 1964 version.
(17) Disney Movie- Robin Hood. (1973) To be honest not a huge fan of this one. Only seen it a handful of times. So not going to get into details about this one.It reminds me a little bit or should I say the movie Zootopia reminds me of this movie.
(18) Disney Movie- The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. (1977) So I have never been a huge Winnie the Pooh fan, yes I watched it a few times growing up, but I mainly watched it for the Eeyore Character. He was my favorite and is still one of my favorite Disney Characters to this day.
(19) Disney Movie- The Rescuers. (1977) I have a lot to say about this movie. It is one of my all time favorite Disney movies as I have seen it 3 million times, I own it on DVD. When I was a preschool teacher I showed it to my students. They were very confused since the credits were at the beginning of the film instead of the end. But I love Miss Bianca and Mr. Bernard. Their dynamic was adorable. Rufus the cat was the side character that led them to find out what happened to Penny the child they were trying to rescue. The Police had no leads whatsoever to find 6 year old Penny, Rufus was the only one who knew about Medusa, if it were not for the cat and mice investigating, poor Penny would have never been found and they probably would have killed her. Both Medusa and Mr. Snoops had anger issues and brought it out on poor Penny and what’s even worse is that Medusa would shoot at Penny. But still, Miss Bianca and Bernard to the Rescue!!!!
(20) Disney Movie- The Fox and the Hound. (1981) This movie is well rounded, has some heart breaking moments in it and some heart warming moments too. Tod and Copper’s friendship is adorable. Fun Fact: Copper was voice by Kurt Russell and Tod was voiced by Mickey Rooney. The woman who saved Tod as a baby had a huge heart. She hand raised a baby fox, she gave him love and the right amount of discipline that any young living being needs. She was a wonderful mom figure to him. It broke her heart and my heart when she had to release Tod back into the wild. Her neighbor was threatening to kill him and rather see this animal she loved so much get killed, she released him back into the wild so that Tod could live.
