  1. (110) Disney Movie: Brave (2012) I love Merida, the princess in this movie. She is actually my profile picture on Disney+ and my fourth favorite Disney princess. I am ScotchIrish and German. So, I love stories that take place in Europe. I also especially love traveling in Europe. When I heard that that Disney was making Brave, I have to admit was a little thrilled. They also said she wasn't going to be a typical princess either so that really intrigued me. The second scene in this movie while Merida is narrating this scene actually inspired the opening to my book Roe's Fate. This movie hit me a little hard because a lot of the movie is about a relationship between a mother and daughter how it was broken and then they mended it. This movie came out a year after my mother died. So it was a little tough watching it for the first time, but I think this movie is very powerful and the messages in this movie is very important for people of all ages. So I defiantly recommend this movie to everyone.

  2. (111) Disney Movie: The Odd Life of Timothy Green (2012) What I remember from the two times that I saw this movie, is that Jennifer Garner who plays Mrs. Green in this film, and her husband in this film, are unable to have their own children. They have been wanting to adopt for years, Then a little boy named Timothy shows up and calls them mom and dad. He has leaves coming out of his leg. The leaves how determine how long he stays with them. When all the leaves have disappeared it means it is time for him to leave. I believe he was there to help prepare them for the little girl they get to adopt in the end. From what I remember it was an okay movie, I personally thought it was a little weird concept with the young boy have leaves on his legs. Other than that I only watched it twice a long time ago so I can't give a good give a more accurate review.

  3. (112) Disney Movie: Wreck-it Ralph (2012) I saw this movie once, with my friend, her kids were very young at the time. I liked the concept of this movie, but since I was never into arcade games, this movie didn't hit big in my eyes because of that. Love some of the cast members, Jane Lynch- who voiced Sergeant Calhoun, Mindy Kaling- who voiced Taffeta Muttonfudge, and Skylar Astin- who voiced Roy.

  4. (113) Disney Movie: Oz the Great and Powerful. (2013) All star cast. James Franco-the wizard of Oz, Mila Kunis- The wicked witch of the witch, Michelle Williams- Glinda the Good Witch, Rachel Weisz- Evanora, Zach Braff-Frank, Joey King, Abigail Spencer, and others. I remember from this film this is when The wizard first comes to Oz, he is a player with women. He breaks The wicked witches heart and causes her to become the wicked witch and turn green. That's mainly the only thing I remember from the movie.

  5. (114) Disney Movie: Frozen (2013) This movie which turned into its own franchise is one of Disney's biggest animated film hits. With a sequel and another currently in production and multiple short films, countless merchandise including but not limited to toys, clothing, books, and even play equipment are Frozen themed. On top of that in 2014 even though the movie had only been out six months, my favorite tv show of all time- Once Upon a Time- incorporated this into their next season in production which the first half appeared in the 2014 and the second in 2015 and it continued with references of them in the remaining seasons. The song Let it Go, is one of Disney's franchises greatest hits of all time. Idina Menzel killed it with her vocals. The sister storyline was very powerful. Also Anna is the first Disney princess to sing a song with a villain. Olaf is perfect humor that this film needed. Also Kristen Bell, who I've been watching in movies and tv shows pretty much as long as I can remember, who role is the second true Disney princess (Merida being the first) that breaks princess guidelines that you have to be absolutely perfect/beautiful all the time to be a princess and I think that is a really refreshing change. When the scenes with her in bed where her hair is completely crazy and she has drool coming out of her mouth I think is great. It brings reality that animated princess movies really needed.

  6. (115) Disney Movie: Saving Mr. Banks (2013) This movie, as I am a big fan of Mary Poppins (as in my review about Mary Poppins I mentioned that I have a Mary Poppins tattoo) needed this movie to give more understanding about the hard work, love, and background this movie came from. We learn about the author P.L Travers childhood. We see how hard Walt Disney pursued P.L Travers to make the book into a movie. We also learn the true purpose of the film Marry Poppins, it was not to save the children, yes they were a huge part of the story, but the whole point of the film was to save Mr. Banks, the father of the children. Tom Hanks slayed his role as Walt Disney. Dame Emma Thompson does a fantastic job channeling P.L. Travers as well. Also you see some fun facts about how the film Mary Poppins was made that you wouldn't have known without this movie. This is a must see movie for the fans and lovers of the original Mary Poppins film.

  7. (116) Disney Movie: Maleficent (2014) As my readers should have learned by now that Sleeping Beauty is my favorite original Disney princess movie and Aurora is my favorite Disney Princess. Well Maleficent, from that storyline is my favorite 'villain'. We learn the background and storyline how Maleficent became a villain. We learn in this storyline she didn't start out that way at all or was even the true villain in the story. Angelina Jolie does a fabulous job in this role. You believe she truly is the character. I also think it's cool that they use her children as some of the child actors in the film. Very interesting take on Maleficent and King Stefan having a love triangle with King Stefan betraying her, his childhood love/friendship so he can marry the Princess and become King. The actress that plays Aurora (King Stefan's daughter), Elle Fanning. I have watched her from I think her second film, Daddy Day Care, to other roles like We Bought a Zoo and Because of Winn Dixie. I know she is a lot more roles, including the tv show The Great, the point is I've really seen her grow up over the years and not being in a helpless shadow of her also famous actress sister Dakota Fanning. She has made her own name of which I am proud that she did that. Back to this movie. I really like the changes they made to this film that are different than the original Sleeping Beauty. Yes I still love the original and I loyal to it, but I also believe the world needs change and things like this are a great start. Must see film and its sequel so please stay tuned in a few more posts to see the review of the second film,

  8. (117) Disney Movie: Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day (2014) This movie is based on one of my favorite childhood books, but they modernized it for the film, which was great. Steve Carrell and Jennifer Garner play the parents of Alexander and his 3 siblings. Also fun fact, the baby that plays Alexander's little brother was actually played by a baby girl. Alexander believes his live is completely cursed and that his family doesn't care about him, and on the eve of his birthday he wishes that his family could feel what it was like for him to have a really bad day. Well his wish was granted. His parents and all three of the siblings even though that day was very important for his parents and two of his siblings, turned out in the beginning and middle parts of the day to be crazy and horrible, while Alexander is having the best day of his life. In the beginning and middle part of the movie Alexander thinks his family couldn't care less about him is proved wrong. His parents surprised him with an unbelievably awesome Australian themed birthday party, Alexander loved everything about Australia. His older brother ditched his PROM to spend Alexander's birthday with him, and his sister showed him she loved him in her own way as well. So it was super sweet.

  9. (118) Disney Movie: Big Hero 6 (2014) Okay, so when this movie came out I had absolutely no desire what so ever to see this movie. I had heard that the brother dies in the beginning of the film and makes the entire movie incredibly sad. As someone who's brother has died, and knowing how tough that is on someones especially a siblings life. I did not want to watch it. Five years after this movie came out, when I was twenty-two one of my friends insisted that I watch it with her and my roommate at the time. I will admit that I was not happy while I sat there and watched it. However, the movie did surprise me and turned out better than I expected. Although, I did not like it enough to watch it again, it was good, but not enough for me to watch it multiple times. I will leave it at that.

  10. (119) Disney Movie: Into the Woods (2014) I've seen this movie around 3 to 4 times. All star cast alert. Meryl Streep (other Disney film Mary Poppins 2), Johnny Depp (Pirate's of the Caribbean franchise, Lone Ranger, and the Alice in Wonderland movies), Emily Blunt (Gnomeo and Juliet, Jungle Cruise, and Mary Poppins Returns (2)), James Corden, Anna Kendrick (Noelle), Chris Pine (Princess Diaries 2, Wish, The Finest Hours, and A Wrinkle in Time), Christine Baranski, and Frances de la Tour (Alice in Wonderland movies). It has non typical takes on some classic Disney fairytales in full musical form.
