(90) Disney Movie: Enchanted (2007) This film was a huge deal back when it came out in theaters. Everyone was so excited for it. Grey's Anatomy stars were happy that McDreamy a.k.a Derek Shepherd actor Patrick Dempsey was cast as one of the lead actors. Susan Sarandon was cast to play the villain. Amy Adams the princess, Idina Menzel was in this film too. It was very heart warming and great music. Fun Fact: In one of the musical number scenes they had a dancer from the Original Mary Poppins. He was the last one living and he was so proud to be in another Disney film. (According to his interview). They made a sequel to this that came out in 2022. So get to watch that as a part of this project.
(91) Disney Movie: National Treasure Book of Secrets (2007) We pick up a year or so after the first movie ended. Riley Poole has written a novel about the Treasure hunt from the last film and a book about the nations secrets. Ben and Abigail have broken up but still care about each other. It's very obvious throughout the entire film, (luckily they get back together in the end.) There is a new villain in this film who smears the Gates family history to shreds and also gives them false lie about one of the Great Grandfathers in their Gates family tree. They are searching for the city of gold. It is believed that is one of the reasons that President Abraham Lincoln was assassinated in that movie theater (of course not real because its a movie) Ben is traveling all around the world trying to prove that his great great grandfather was an innocent man and was trying to save everyone. We learn that the Queen's desk in Buckingham Palace is has a twin, the President of the United States of America's desk which was a gift from Queen Victoria. They are puzzle boxes and have secret numbers and items hidden inside them that no one new in England but it was discovered in The US and put into the Presidents book of Secrets. Ben kidnaps the President so the President can tell him about it. Fun Fact: There are three Lady Liberty's made by the architect that gifted the US with and still stands in New York on Ellis Island. So that's 1.... #2 is located in France which the architect called his Lady and #3 is located in Virginia. (this is mentioned in the movie which ended up being true.)
(92) Disney Movie: The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian. (2008) Saw this movie maybe twice. I remember Prince Caspian had a thing for Susan and that Narnia had changed drastically since the sibling quartet had been there a year ago. Hundreds of years had passed for Narnia. This was also Susan and Peter's last time in Narnia. That's pretty much all I remember about it.
(93) Disney Movie: Wall-E. (2008) I saw this film maybe twice once in the theaters with my mom and some friends, but one of my friends had a meltdown and we had to leave early. It's about the last robot on earth while humans are in space.
(94) Disney Movie: The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Beginning (2008) I saw this movie a grand total of one time. Ariel's mom is still alive and it explains how things ended up the way they did in the first film.
(95) Disney Movie: High School Musical 3: Senior Year. (2008) I saw this movie in Theaters for a school project. I was so excited I had a huge crush on Zac Efron who plays Troy Bolton. (I still love Zac Efron. Celebrity crush alert.) My favorite song from the whole film was "the Boy's Are Back". I did a dance recital to the song We're All in this Together. So fun times and fun memories.
(96) Disney Movie: Tinker Bell (2008) This film franchise was a good idea, because it explains the beginnings and the life of Tinker Bell- Peter Pan's and the Lost Boys sidekick fairy. Very cool concept. I probably saw the original movie twice. I loved the fact that it says fairies are born when a baby laughs for the first time. Very fun and sweet to think about in movie terms.
(97) Disney movie: Race to Witch Mountain (2009) Another Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson movie! He is a cab driver in this film and is protects a brother and sister duo from another planet with the help of a female scientist. Lots of danger and action in this film, Only saw this film about twice, but I know this was a remake of the original.
(98) Disney Movie: Hannah Montana: The Movie (2009) I've seen this movie three times. I saw it in theaters when it came out with one of my friends and she and I had the entire two leveled theater to watch this movie. Loved the music. I have the entire "The Climb" song lyrics memorized as it's one of my favorite songs. Really cute movie. The song Boom de Clap and its dance was a huge thing, my friends and I were doing that dance a lot. Great got the song stuck in my head now. Really liked the actors... Zig zag across the floor, shuffle and diagonal... whoops. I really like the actors they choose for this film it was fun and light hearted. One of my favorite father daughter songs is in the movie "Butterfly fly away". On some level now I connect with Miley Stewart character from the show and the movie her mom died when she was young and was raised by a single father, same thing happened to me. So this song really gets to me.
(99) Disney Movie: Up (2009) Oh man I saw this in theaters. I remember that day vividly. I love this movie. It is so sweet. The character Carl, reminds me a little of my dad. My dad is a very quiet man. He generally seems like he doesn't like most children, but is a major softie to tell the truth. All though my dad and I don't need a five bedroom house anymore, he won't leave the last house he and my mom lived in. He didn't want any of our dogs, but now is completely in love with them. Sound familiar? Carl, is the same. He seems like a grumpy old man but has a warm, loving heart, and fights for the things he loves, even though he doesn't want to admit that he actually cares about them. Also the voice actor of Carl, Ed Asner, was one of my Dad's favorite actors. So cool. I love the voice actor of the villain, Christopher Plummer. All and all an awesome movie.
