Post 10: Part 1 section 9 of UDC

1. (81) Disney Movie: Cars. (2006) This movie and its sequels are very unique. Cars are alive and can talk with personalities. They are like humans. It has a great voice cast and some pretty interesting storylines. Lightning McQueen's voice actor is Owen Wilson. Doc Hudson is Paul Newman, Mater is played by the hilarious Larry the Cable Guy. Sally Carrera (the female car and love interest of Lightning McQueen) is voiced by Bonnie Hunt. There are also smaller roles in the film with famous voices like Jay Leno and others.

2. (82) Disney Movie: Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men's Chest. (2006) A pirates life for me. I am so happy that we are at another POTC film, as my readers know this is my favorite film franchise ever. This film, picks up about a year after we left off from the first film. I will admit there are a few gross scenes in this film, like the crow scene in the beginning, the cannibals, Captain Jack Sparrow biting a toe, and the Kraken of course. Maybe a few others, but those stand out the most. Captain Jack Sparrow has several crazy moments in this film. He is thrown into the ocean in a casket with a corpse and breaks out of it and uses the corpses leg to paddle to his ship. He does apologize to the corpse before he does it. We find out that Captain Jack Sparrow is on the run from Davy Jones, he made a deal with him years ago to raise his ship up from the depths and his time is up and Davy Jones is looking to collect. Meanwhile Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann's wedding doesn't get a chance to start since they are both arrested by Lord Beckett for helping free Sparrow. Will makes a deal with Lord Beckett to save himself and Elizabeth from the gallows by retrieving Jack's compass. Along the way he finds himself trapped on an island full of a cannibal tribe with Jack and his entire crew, well not the entire crew, several of them had already met their ends and bones were used to create the cages that held the rest of the crew and Will. Will eventually finds out that his father is a member of Davy Jones's crew and vows to free him, but he doesn't know what it will truly cost him. The film continues with different scenes including Elizabeth who has escaped prison and found Will, Jack, and the crew. Tia Dalma (we find out she is actually someone else in the third film, but for this film this is what she is called) gives Jack a Jar of dirt. The scene where Jack sings I got a Jar of Dirt while confronting Davy Jones, is completely improvised by Johnny Depp the actor who plays Jack, so the look of shock and confusion on everyone else's faces is pure they had no idea he was going to do, and its genius one of the most famous scenes of all the movies. However later in the film after the Kraken has attacked the Black Pearl twice, Elizabeth makes a huge sacrifice to save her fiancé Will, the crew and herself. Jack who had been flirting with her ever since she came on his ship in this film, she tricks him and makes out with him and handcuffs him to the ship so the Kraken can be satisfied and leave everyone alone. However Will sees them kissing and is absolutely crushed. They watch the ship be taken down by the Kraken knowing Jack is on there. Elizabeth claimed Jack volunteered to stay behind while she really knew she sent him to his death. Later after everyone was safe at Tia Dalma's cabin, they are all grieving Jack, Will is crushed thinking his fiancé is in love with another man all while, Elizabeth has a guilty conscious over what she did, but she did it to save everyone. They all decide to go after Jack and Tia Dalma says they'll need a Captain. Then enters Captain Barbossa, back from the dead, Then the film cuts out. Stay tuned for the next few films.

3. (83) Disney Movie: Brother Bear 2. (2006) This movie is manly about the main character and his soul mate. She joins them in the wild as the spirits will not allow her to marry another man without resolving her bondage to the main character. Low and behold they still love each other and she decided to be a bear and join him in the forrest raising the little bear cub.

4. (84) Disney Movie: The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause. (2006) We find Santa Clause, a happily married man, but about to be a father again as his wife is very pregnant! She is sad because she never gets to see her parents anymore and they don't know they are going to be grandparents. Scott (Santa) is worried about being a father again, because he wasn't good at it the first time around. Then Jack Frost (played by the very funny Martin Short) is sentenced to work at the North Pole so he doesn't get his title taken away, finds out there is a snow globe that can strip Scott of his title as Santa. They are thrown into an alternate reality. Where Scott never became Santa, he is horrified to find out what life is like with him not as Santa. Luckily, he becomes Santa again, and ends up right back to where things were before. Mrs. Clause delivers her bundle of Joy on Christmas Eve. A little boy whom they name Buddy after his grandfather. So happy ending.

5. (85) Disney Movie: Cinderella III: A Twist in Time. (2007) This was a very unique take on the Cinderella time. A year after Cinderella and the Prince are married the step mother gets ahold of the Fairy Godmother's wand and turns back the clock to make it seem like Anastasia one of her daughters into the one the prince thinks he fell in love with, The prince eventually figures it out that Anastasia is not Cinderella. The twists and turns are very unexpected.

6. (86) Disney Movie: Bridge to Terabithia. (2007) This is a very interesting yet sad movie that is based off a book. Josh Hutcherson whom, I am a big fan of, is the main character of this film, I also love Anna Sophia Robb that plays his friend, for recommendation purposes, if you have a child that has a friend or a loved one that has passed away I don't recommend this film. It will trigger it. In very real life like events. It is a very sad movie at the end, So not a huge fan of this movie.
